What's The Atmosphere Like?

Swiss ski resorts have traditionally developed around old farming villages and towns so the resorts themselves still retain a lot of tradition and charm. There is also a strong sense of community. After a day on the slopes, there's a range of activities and entertainment, delivered with that famous Swiss hospitality. There is a strong sense of service here and resorts are well organised and dare we say it -efficient!

Who Is It Best For?

Ski holidays in Switzerland ensure all levels of skier and boarder are catered for, with excellent tuition for beginners too. For the more adventurous skier, there's some of the highest, biggest and most challenging runs in the Alps. As well as world class resorts like Klosters and St Moritz, there are others that offer holidays to suit a more modest budget - especially considering the the strength of the Euro.

This is one country that you really will get all kinds of accommodation from uber luxury to more modest offerings. We cant lie-this isn't the cheapest place to come and ski but some resorts do offer good value accommodation.

Getting Here

You have a great choice of airports here. If we take Geneva as one example. There are many cheap flights to Geneva from the UK and within 1 hour from here you could be in La Clusaz, within 2 hours you have an incredible choice of 11 resorts.
