Other Resorts

Switzerland really is the county of the ski regions. This means that many of the resorts here are organised into ski areas comprising of a number of different resorts. Some ski areas are large like Graubunden a 7000km area offering 2000 km of skiing.  Some of the best known ski resorts in this area include Laax and Klosters.

Other ski areas are smaller like Jungfrau which offers 213 km of skiing over 4 resorts. But elsewhere in Switzerland there are stand alone resorts which are not part of a ski area. In Switzerland that is resorts like Kandersteg. We have referred to then here as 'other'. Do check them out with our resort reviews.

Whether you choose to ski in a ski area or 'other' resort Switzerland will offer you amazing skiing in a beautiful country. Not always the cheapest place to ski but Switzerland offers immaculate slopes, pretty villages and great chalet accommodation, both catered and non catered.

How to Choose a Ski Area

Some of the larger ski areas in Switzerland could be great if you want to ski in different resorts each day and want to ski long and hard. But you could buy a ski area lift pass which could be a waste of money if you only want to go out for a few hours each day. Again our resort and ski area reviews will help you here.
