Flumserberg Area

Flumserberg is a well known winter sporting location which lies between the cities of Zurich and Chur. Here they have the most up to date snow cannon equipment to ensure that they provide the best in snow conditions for their visitors from the months of December through to the end of April. Here the ski season can even commence in November if the weather permits. 

Flumserberg Tannenbogen Skiing-what you will find

There are 65km of pistes which are well prepared for all levels of skiers. Snowboarders can have fun on the top half pipe and enjoy the deep powder in the action packed park, and carvers will be excited about the perfect pistes. There are several obstacles to try out including mogels, steep wall curves and kicks. Carlsberg is a large snow park which offers riding for free. There are also 24 km of cross country skiing and hiking paths for those who want to enjoy the panoramic scenery and splendid vistas. Along the way are changing cabins and a room for waxing. If you have extra energy between skiing and riding or in the evenings, you may want to take in some tobogganing. There is a 3km toboggan run which starts and finishes at the gondola railway. Two times per week, the toboggan run is lit up so that people of all ages can take a run in the evening hours.

This family ski resort is well known for catering to families and all winter sports enthusiasts who come there for sporting winter excitement. If you are not able to bring your own equipment, you can rent everything that you need here, and quite likely find some good bargains on rental packages with competitive prices. Everything that you need can be bought or rented, even if you come totally unprepared in terms of clothing and equipment.

At this resort you can ski both intermediate and beginner runs. If you go to the summit of the Churfirsten Mountains there is plenty of skiing for all three stages. Tannenboden is best for the beginners to start on and feel most comfortable. The more recreational types of skiers tend to gather at the bottom of Maschgenkamm and Prod. If you are an expert skier, you will enjoy making your way up to the Leist which reaches heights of 2,222 on some runs.

Highlights of Switzerland’s Flumsberg Tannenboden ski region

Switzerland’s only 8 seater chair lift is found in the Flumserberg Tannenboden ski region. You can take a ride on it after a short wait time from the Prodalp, all the way to the Prodkam in pure comfort. On the slopes you will find that service is first priority and the same at the ski rental stations.
