Ski Circus
The ski area known as the Ski Circus is made up of three resorts-Hinterglemm, Saalbach and Leogang. Collectively they offer more than 200km of pistes and the area overall is still being developed with new lifts being built every year so this is definitely a ski area to keep an eye on.
The twin villages of Hinterglemm and Saalbach boast a vast interconnecting ski experience with 54 lifts and 9 access points across the Glemm valley. Saalbach is the larger of the two and is best suited to intermediate skiers and boarders whilst Hinterglemm is best for novice and less experienced intermediates.
Visiting Ski Circus
This region caters for snowboarders very well, besides the usual half pipes and a snow park in Saalbach there are also special snowboard pistes available.So with snow parks, speed courses,a carving funpark, flood lit slopes and ski movie courses there a lot more to this ski area than meets the eye.
Apres ski is good in the area and there are other activities to keep you going including snowmobiling, snow shoeing, ice skating and ice climbing. If you want to fly to this ski area then the nearest airport is Salzburg which is 90km away-about a 2 hour drive.
