A warm welcome awaits visitors that ski Wildschönau in the heart of the Kitzbühel Alps. As a skiing area, there's just 4 villages that are ski resorts which are; Thierbach, Oberau, Auffach and Niederau. Surrounded by 70, mainly north facing pistes, you're snow assured into April.
Of the 70 runs available when you ski Wildschönau there are 15 for beginners, 43 for intermediates, and 12 for advanced skiers, so a good range for all levels. These runs are linked by 26 ski lifts, including cable cars and drag lifts. There is also a treat in store for any snowboarders among you, as Wildschönau also has a 'race and boarder' arena.The valley also offers many other winter activities throughout the season. Visitors can ski over 40 km of prepared cross country trails, or decide to be daring and take part in paragliding or floodlit tobogganing.

Culture is also very important when you ski Wildschönau. Known as a musical valley, as well as the snow, it also houses several interesting museums.
