Ski Olympia Region Austria
If you choose to visit the Olympia Ski area this season, then you will be carving your way down mountains once used by Olympic athletes. Located in the Tyrolean Alps, and close to Innsbruck, Seefeld is one of the main resorts in the area, and it's played host to Olympic biathlon, and cross country skiing twice.
Visiting Olympia
Without a doubt, ski Olympia has excellent Olympic pedigree and connections. It's no surprise that Seefeld is well known for it's cross country skiing, and has 260 km of cross country trails. The resort has a large number of easy and medium runs, with expert skiers being catered for to a small degree. Mosern, a ski area for beginners, is also well known in the Olympia region, which, due to its altitude, is snow assured throughout the season, from early December to early April.
The Olympia Ski area also covers other villages and towns, such as Reith, Leutasch, Kreithlift, and Ross Shutte. Ski passes tend to give access to pistes across the region, and if you visit Kreithlift or Ross Shutte, night skiing is available until 10pm. Other activities available include snowtubing, tobogganing, and hiking through many cleared trails.
Ski in the Olympia region, and you'll find a choice of accommodation, from wooden chalets with mountain views, to comfortable guesthouses, and luxury hotels.
