Ski Zillertal Area

The Zillertal ski area is easy to get to with three airports within easy distance-Innsbruck is 40km away and takes approximately 1 hours drive. Two other airports within easy travelling distance include Munich, 130km away and Salzburg 150km away. The main ski resort in the Zillertal Area is Fugen/Spieljoch.

Visiting Zillertal Area

The main resort in the Zillertal Area is Fugen which is a family fun resort offering 21km of piste. It is small however so not great for experts. But it is well connected to other resorts within the Zillertal valley so you will be able to access the bigger resorts of Zell, Mayrhofen and Hintertux, the glacier resort open all year.

The Zillertal is a great place to visit. The Fugen-Spieljochbahn ski area is the first resort in the Zillertal Valley. The valley itself is 42km long and is home to three ski areas which in total offers 150km of pistes. You really can ski somewhere new every day. The main drawback though is the altitude , most slopes here are below 2500m.
