Ski Espace Killy

Espace Killy

To ski the Espace Killy is to enjoy high altitude skiing on a variety of terrain. If that sounds like your kind of ski holiday, then it's time to book a trip to visit one of the ski resorts that are firm favourites of the Brits year after year!

The Espace Killy ski area comprises the towns of Tignes, Val D'Isère and La Daille, all of which are linked to this fantastic ski area. With high altitude skiing and boarding, conditions are usually good late in to the season.

Visiting Espace Killy

Val D'Isère is probably the most famous resort in the Espace Killy ski region. Home to a famous world cup run, the 'Premiere Neige', it's normally here that the European ski season officially kicks off in December. From then on all levels of skiers have access to 300km of pistes, including the Grande Motte Glacier, which can be snow sure all year round. 97 lifts cover the Espace Killy area which has a good percentage of green, red, and black runs, and an excellent range of blue runs.

There's tuition available for beginners, and some tour operators offer skills courses for more experienced skiers. Cross country skiing is also available in Tignes (48km) and Val D'Isère (20km). The Espace Killy lift passes cover the whole area and can include day trips to La Plagne and Les Arcs.

Off the slopes you will find Tignes and Val D'Isère are two lively resorts, both with a number of popular bars and shops, and various winter activities on offer. These include skating, ice diving, and husky dog safaris.

After arriving in France, you can transfer to this first class ski area from Chambéry (2 hours), Geneva (3-4 hours) or take the Bourg St Maurice Snow train (50 minutes). This covers arrivals in France or Geneva by plane or train. There really is something for everyone here, from beginners to experts, snowboarders, to non skiers; all are welcome in this ski region, so why don't you give it a try?
