Brescia is a must for those of you fascinated by the Roman past. here you will find old roman buildings and if you visit the towns museum the Meseo Della Citta you will find a good collection of roman remains. Head to the Tempio Capitolino, the remains of what was the Roman forum.
In fact Brescia is the largest archaeological area in northern Italy but it is also a great place to wander around the squares and lanes. For shopping you will find a great selection of boutiques and antique shops.
Brescia is also close to the Lakes at Iseo and Garda which are an easy drive away. You can also experience some great Italian vineyards on the way.
