Itter is a small resort situated only 5km from Soll. The village is located at the foot of the Hohe Salve mountain, one of the Tirols most beautiful peaks. This is a great resort to base yourself in if you wish to further explore the SkiWelt ski area, Austria's largest linked ski zone.
Where?
Itter is a pretty village centred around a church and a castle. It is a lot quieter and cheaper than its nearest neighbour Soll so is a good choice for those with families or who are on a budget. Innsbruck is only one hour away, Salzburg two and a quarter hours transfer and Stuttgart three hours away.
On the slopes
This is really a beginners resort with limited local skiing but with a ski connection in the village which gets you into the SkiWelt it is well worth a visit for that reason alone! With 279km of runs and 3 terrain parks you will not get bored here. As such the stats that you will find below are for the SkiWelt ski area.

Off the slopes
The hotel bars here are well worth a visit or you can head into Soll for more crazy apres ski. A taxi from Itter to Soll costs around 15 Euros for up to 8 people. There are bowling facilities here, an indoor swimming pool, sleigh rides and a toboggan run.
