Ski Kobla in Slovenia and you will be above Bohinjska Bistrica coming down through tree-lined slopes and checking out the breathtaking view over the Julian Alps. There's over 20km of slopes here and you're linked to Vogel.
Where?
If you want to ski Kobla you will be located above Bistrica in the Bohinj glacial basin and you will be part of both the Julian Alps and the Triglav National Park. Kobla is easily reached by air, as are most places in the country of Slovenia, but it will be cheaper to reach by train although the trip will of course be slightly longer.

On the slopes
Catering to expert skiers, the Kobla ski resort has 23km of pistes of which 50% of the slopes are designed for those with intermediate skiing skill and 10% for experts. Although there are only 40% of slopes for beginners Kobla is closely linked to the nearby Vogel ski slopes where there are many more beginner slopes so if you need smaller slopes for children or friends in your holiday group this should not present a problem.
There's six lifts to make transportation between the slopes easy, and nine more at Vogel if you plan on heading over there to try out more slopes. The ski season when you ski Kobla runs from December through to March with plenty of snow cannons to help supplement the natural snow, making it a wonderful place for skiing in the summer so that you can see the majestic scenic waterfalls operating at their full capacity.

Off the slopes
There are plenty of outdoor activities to take part in and around the Kobla ski resort area including but not limited to waterfall ice-climbing, paragliding, ice skating on the Bohinj Lake, hiking trails, and indoor and outdoor swimming. There's also a gym area and saunas for those who simply want to relax after a long day on the slopes.
The local towns have plenty to offer and are known for being friendly to tourists with plenty of local shops and Slovenian restaurants for those who want to taste the flavour of the land. For those who want après ski there are plenty of nightclubs, bars, and dance halls throughout the village streets as well.
