Ski festivals

If you want to combine both your passions of skiing and boarding with music then why not visit one of the many music festivals held in resorts throughout the season?

Ski resorts no longer just offer the obvious skiing and boarding and apres ski, many are adding ski festivals to the list to allow you to combine your love of music with the white stuff.

Snowbombing Festival

Examples include the legendary Snowbombing festival in Mayrhofen where, over 5 days, you will experience awesome parties, drink and great music. Arinsal will also host The Big Snow Festival in Andorra with ski and snowboard competitions, music and parties.

The Brits Festival

The Brits festival is also worth checking out held in Laax Switzerland, where talented British skiers and snowboarders defend their titles. But you can also listen to live bands and great DJ's over an amazing 7 days of partying.

The Altitude Festival

The Altitude festival which used to be held in Meribel, now moved to Mayrhofen, is unique for having comedy at its core alongside live music, international DJ's and great slopeside competitions. The Portes du Soleil is also not to be outdone with the new Concerts Sauvages offering more than 30 concerts in different locations across the mountains. The venues are only announced one day before the gig!

North America Festivals

If you fancy something special in North America check out the Telus Ski & Snowboard festival, the largest annual winter sport and music festival in North America. Essentially it's a week long party including dogs, concerts, photography and films! The festivals logo is 'Party in April. Sleep in May'.

Additional festivals to check out include Wangltangl for the boarders and finally for extreme skiers and boarders there's the Winter sessions held in Chamonix.
