Offering excellent snow for skiing and snowboarding in the USA, this is a charming village ski resort with sophisticated tastes only one hour from Eagle County airport. Perfect for families too! Read our independent review for all you need to know.
Where
If you ski Beaver Creak, you are once again in one of the Colorado ski resorts famous the world over. Just a stones throw from Vail, this is a relatively new ski resort that is not as exclusive and a little less pricey. Highly accessible to Eagle County airport (90 mins) and Denver (2.5 hours), Beaver Creek ski holidays offer excellent skiing and snowboarding.
On the Slopes
Ski holidays in Beaver Creek benefit from the 'Summit Ticket' covering Breckenridge, Vail and Keystone slopes. Ski Beaver Creek mountain and what you get is great pistes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, although there are more intermediate slopes than beginner or expert. Experts do benefit from moguls and some challenging 'blacks' however. Offering great snow conditions and extensive snowmaking just in case, there's also 4 snowparks, 14 lifts and over 140 runs. Ski schools and lessons are excellent as you would expect.
Ski Area
If you ski Beaver Creek you are in the US State of Colorado.
Off the Slopes
The Beaver Creek ski resort is most definitely an upmarket family village with a distinct air of exclusivity. There's high class restaurants as well as luxury shops as would befit the ski resort that was home to the 1999 World Downhill and Slalom Championships. There is good après-ski, if not massively lively, and lots of off-pistes activities including hot air ballooning. For families - great. The only real negative is the price you will pay for everything.
Who's it Best For?
Quiet trails, good for all levels of skier and boarder. Good therefore for mixed groups.
