Situated only 1 hour from Geneva airport is Combloux. It has spectacular views of Mont Blanc and is close to the resorts of Megève (only 4 km away) and other resorts in the ski region including St Gervais. On the slopes
Combloux is great for families with good beginner and intermediate slopes. There is a separate childrens snow garden called 'Club Piwi Piwi'. There are a good number of local slopes but for those of you who want more variety or challenge this is a good base to explore other resorts in the area. You are only 4 km from Megève and 30 km from Chamonix. This is a popular resort with the French and also interesting to note that the Nordic ski area is free of charge.

Off the slopes
There is plenty to do off the pistes here with snowshoeing, 2 luge tracks, ice skating and curling at the Sports and Convention centre at Megève. For those of you wanting to take it more easy then horse drawn carriages await, dog sled rides, sauna, steam room, spa and massage. There are 12 lodges and restaurants and 2 bars. This is a beautiful resort to stay in either to ski or snowboard here or to explore the amazing resorts within the Mont Blanc region.
