Le Massif

Ski Le Massif de Charlevoix in Canada. With a distinctly European atmosphere this ski resort offers lots of great skiing and snowboarding on and off-piste. Based just north of Québec, a great place for snow.

Where

Easily reached from Québec airport, ski Le Massif de Charlevoix and you get plenty on the slopes and in the city just South more than enough for most! There's 36 runs for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy , you then have lots of shopping in the surrounding areas. Ski transfers are easy and straight-forward to this resort as you can fly into the International airport and then it's a simple transfer into resort.

On the slopes

When you choose to ski Le Massif de Charlevoix, regardless of your ability you will have a great time. Of the 36 slopes, around 50% are for beginners or intermediates, and 50% for advanced and experts. The longest slope is 4.8kms, but there are just five lifts providing access to the piste.

Not the largest ski resort, but travel in February for the best snow conditions or rely on the 75% of piste coverage by the new cannon system - which is especially important for th elower slopes due to the altitude. Skiing and snowboarding here are excellent for the quieter pistes during the week and there's a good terrain park that will be served by it's own lift in the 2010-2011 season.

Off the slopes

There is no accommodation at the resort, but Le Massif has an impressive range of facilities, including boutiques, shops, cafés and pubs. However, the nearby towns and villages offer a good range of bed-and-breakfasts, motels, chalets and villas. There's also a great range of alternative activities including sit-ski and telemark lessons, and more relaxing spa treatments such as massages, spas, saunas and pressure therapy.
