The ski area Le Massif de Charlevoix is situated in Petite-Rivière-Saint François, Charlevoix, Quebec. From Quebec City it is a 75-minute drive to the ski area. With the greatest vertical drop in Eastern Canada, it is at 770 m (2,526 ft) and has plenty of snow to offer ski enthusiasts. It is an Alpine training centre for Canadian athletes and is well known for having a ski area consisting of two peaks that are accessible from both the base and the top. The skiing season generally runs from the beginning of December into late April.
Where
Quebec City is a popular beginning point for a skiing venture to Charlevoix. Leaving from Quebec City, travelling east on Hwy 138 it is a 1.5 hour drive. Malbaie is located close to the small Charlevoix Airport. The closest international airport is in Quebec City from which you can fly, drive, take a bus, or the Le Massif de Charlevoix Train.
