Where?
Berwang is surrounded by the Wetterstein Massif, the Mieminger Mountains and the Lechtal Alps, it is quite simply a stunning location for a ski resort. The nearest airport is in Innsbruck.

On the slopes
Berwang offers skiers a reasonable sized ski area of 35km of pistes and an impressive 2182 ft of vertical descent. It is best suited to intermediate skiers and boarders as most of the slopes are rated red or blue and are certainly gentle, wide affairs. There is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers.There are also 25km of cross country trails.The resort is popular with families,as there is good snow and slopes on your doorstep. Although the ski area is not vast it is a pleasure to find uncrowded pistes and non existent lift queues.For those of you who want to do more skiing and boarding then you should consider buying the Tyrol Zugspitz Arena lift pass which includes all the 147km of runs in Ehrwalod, Lermoos, Biberwier and Berwang.

Off the slopes
You wouldn't come to Berwang for wild nightlife, There are a good choice of bars and restaurants, 10 in total, but what people really come here for is the breathtaking scenery and the feeling that you really have got away from the hurly burly of life! It is also a reasonably priced resort which makes it popular with families. Other activities to enjoy include illuminated toboggan runs, ice skating and winter hiking.
