Gore Mountain is in the Adirondack Mountains situated in North Creek New York. Skiers are fond of this area and come from all over to ski here. Gore Mountain is an alpine resort that has been hosting skiers since 1934 and is easily accessible. All levels of skiers will enjoy skiing at Gore Mountain.

Where

The resort is located only 1.5 hours from the Albany International Airport. Travelling to the resort by train is enjoyable as the views are spectacular. The ski trains run from Saratoga Springs to the North Creek Village directly. 

On the Slopes

At the resort there are a total of 79 alpine trails available, including 8 cross country runs and 19 glades. About 60 percent of the terrain is best suited for intermediate skiers, while 30 percent of it is great for expert levels skiers. Approximately ten percent on the area is appropriate for beginner level ski enthusiasts. The Showcase trail is Gore Mountain’s signature trail and provides a fast downhill track with impressive drops. 14 lifts are operating on the mountain, as well as one gondola lift. A terrain park and half pipe are available for boarders, while backcountry skiers will enjoy the glade trails. On the ski hill there is also a fun 800 feet of tubing trail to check out.

Off the Slopes

There is no shortage of accommodation choices for skiers to enjoy after a day of skiing on Gore Mountain. Accommodation choices include bed and breakfasts, cabins, hotels and vacation homes. The Gore Mountain Inn is the perfect environment to take in some after ski refreshments.  There are a variety of guest houses available such as the Copperfield Inn and the Glen Lodge. The Base Lodge food court and the Tannery Pub restaurant serve up some great food or visitors can venture out to Lake George or the Tannery Pub and Restaurant for a wider menu selection.
