If you are thinking about a last minute half term break or short weekend break then what are the best airports to get to in Europe that will get you on the slopes quickly?

With a transfer time of 1 and half hours then check out the resorts of Flaine, Les Gets, Courmayeur, La Thuile, Megeve and Morzine. You can also easily transfer to top resorts in the Three Valleys and Espace Killy and even if the transfer is a bit longer there are so many transfers available as Geneva is so well set up for ski holidays.

Geneva airport is located 2.5 miles northwest of the city and is well set up for the needs of skiers. You are spoilt for choice with airlines hence you will always get good deals on those flights. Transfer for two hours and you will reach Alpe d’Huez, La Plagne, Meribel, Morzine, Val Cenis and Valloire.

You can fly to Chambery with Flybe, Thomson Airways and British Airways. Flybe offer direct flights from Norwich, Cardiff, Southampton, London, Exeter, Bristol, and Nottingham. British Airways fly from Norwich, Cardiff, Southampton, London, Exeter, Birmingham, Bristol and Nottingham.

Grenoble

Grenoble’s closeness to the Alps makes it a good choice for skiers. One of its biggest advantages is the fast autoroute links meaning you can be in Chamrousse within an hour and a half and also be in the Three Valleys and resorts such as Courcheval, Les Menuires and Méribel in around two hours.
