Where
Access to Northern Vermont is easy taking the major interstate highway. The highways are kept in good condition in all seasons if you are travelling by motor vehicle. Travelling by air is convenient as you can fly into Burlington International Airport which offers several transfers and which is located approximately 30 miles or a 45 minute drive from Smuggler’s Notch Resort.

On the Slopes
There are three mountains to ski and board on at Smuggler’s Notch. All levels of skiers will find terrain to suit them. Terrain varies from gentle rolling slopes for beginner skiers, to more advanced runs for intermediates and experts. In the east there is one triple black diamond trail and the Black Hole for the most experienced boarders and skiers. All ages can take advantage of the Snow Sports University and the Ski and Snowboard School to improve their skills. The latest snowboard and ski equipment can be tried out at 3 Mountain Equipment.

Off the Slopes
After a day of skiing there are plenty of family oriented activities to take part in, and activities for those without children. Some of the children’s activities include tubing on Sir Henry’s Hill, ice skating, snowmobile tours, fireworks display and torchlight parade, an ice cream party and a bingo blast. Young children have a ball at the Fun Zone and the indoor play area is for all ages. Teens will enjoy the two teen centers with entertainment such as x-box, DVD’s, pool and ping pong tables. Adults are entertained with a nightly roster of events including comedy night, a mystery show, karaoke, live music, dancing, parties and more. Just down the road from the resort is the Boyden Valley Winery, for fans of wine tasting.
